The characteristics we look for in new products include:

• Low level of customisation required – generally standard products.
• Price range of £50 to £3000 per sale.
• Limited technical dialogue required with the customer.
• General application across an industry sector or across organisations in general.
• Delivery often ex stock, certainly never more than 4 weeks from order.
• Often these products are or have been offered in a printed catalogue.

None of this is set in stone, but bear in mind we are mostly asking customers to buy “off the page” with a modest amount of additional advice and support by phone.
