Seltek Solutions began trading in July 1997 as reseller of a wide range of industrial products with particular emphasis on the Plastics sector. It was a pioneer in this market in use of the internet and quickly matched its understanding of manufacturing businesses with increasing expertise in use of websites, both as a marketing tool and as a means of enabling clients to purchase quickly and easily.

From this beginning Seltek quickly developed a parallel business in designing, building and promoting websites for a wide range of businesses from garden furniture manufacturers to solicitors, from software developers to steel stockholders. This arm of the business grew very rapidly and evolved into NetSecrets, a leading UK web design agency, who built over 1000 websites over a 10 year period to 2009.

Seltek Solutions remained active within NetSecrets and received major emphasis on growth and corresponding investment in 2009. Basically NetSecrets made a bold decision to cease building websites for third parties and instead to build its own online businesses to maximise its growth and profitability. The reasoning was that just as anyone with a camera considers themselves a photographer these days, anyone with a laptop and an evening class sees themselves a web designer. So the rewards for professional web design agencies become harder to achieve.
